8 Companies to Go Public in 2008

TEMPO Interactive, Jakarta: Eight companies will list on the Indonesian Stock Exchange (BEI) in the first semester of this year. “Some came to us, but no one has done any filing. So I can't tell yet,” said BEI Listing Director, Eddy Sugito, yesterday (14/2).

He explained that Bank Jabar is one of the companies which will go public. As regards the other seven companies, they are from plantations, trading company sectors, technical construction in mining and oil as well as property.

“There is also one in the consumer goods sector which is preparing the initial public offering (IPO) in BEI,” he said.
