Fahmi Mochtar Confirmed as Managing Director of PLN

TEMPO Interactive, Jakarta: Sofyan Djalil, the State Minister for State Owned Enterprises (SOEs) has confirmed that Fahmi Mochtar, the current Director of Production and Primary Energy of the state electricity company (PLN) will be the new Managing Director of PLN.

“Mr. Fahmi is a new president director for PLN”, said Minister Sofyan at the Borobudur Hotel, Jakarta, on Monday (10/3).

Other members of the new PLN Board of Directors include: Rusdiantara as Assistant Managing Director, who formerly held the same position at PT Semen Gresik; Setyo Anggoro Dewo as Finance Director; Agung Nugroho as Strategic Development Director; Hariadi as Director for outside Java and Bali; Murtaqi Syamsudin as Director for Java and Bali; Bambang Praptono as Director of Planning; and Supriyadi as Director of Human Resources.

“There are total of eight persons in the new board”, said Sofyan.

The reason for Sofyan bringing in someone from outside PLN for the position of Assistant Managing Director was to bring in a new dynamic, different than before.

“So, problems can be solved differently”, he said.

The inauguration of the members of the PLN new board of directors is planned to be held on Monday (10/3) at the office of State Ministry for SOEs.
