Bengkulu hit by Earthquake

TEMPO Interactive, Jakarta: Bengkulu was hit by an earthquake measuring 5.2 on the Richter scale today (12/3) at 06.45 (Western Indonesian Time).

According to the Meteorology & Geophysics Agency (BMG), the epicentre of the earthquake was 118 kilometers South West of Mukomuko, Bengkulu.

The exact location was 3.5 South latitude and 100.7 East longitude.

BMG said that this earthquake, which was 13 kilometers below the sea, did not have the potential for tsunami waves.
