SOEs Asked to Deposit Dividends to Add to State Budget
Tuesday, 13 May, 2008 | 16:20 WIB
TEMPO Interactive, Jakarta: The State Ministry of State-Owned Enterprise (SOES) will deposit dividends of Rp31.5 trillion from almost all profitable SOEs to help the 2008 state budget.
“Apart from SOEs involved in social security like PT Jamsostek, PT Askes, and PT Taspen,” said State Minister for State Enterprises Sofyan Djalil at his office today (13/5).
The amount of dividend will be different for every SOE as this will be adjusted in line their internal needs.
Therefore, SOEs planning for investment will allocate a small amount of their dividends.
Most of these SOEs have finished auditing their 2007 financial reports and announced their profits.
Bigger dividends are expected from larger state enterprises like PT Aneka Tambang, Tbk; PT Bank Mandiri, Tbk; and PT Timah, Tbk.
“40 percent at least,” said Sofyan.
