President Meets Director of Intel Corporation

TEMPO Interactive, Jakarta: President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono met Director of the Intel Corporation, Craig R. Barret at the President's office at 2pm today. Information and Communication Minister, M. Nuh and Education Minister Bambang Sudibyo also attended the meeting.

Barret wished to promote the education program of Digital Intel World Ahead in Indonesia. He signed the agreement with Education Minister for this program.

The agreement is part of the commemoration of a 100th anniversary of National Awakening Day under the program of Information Communication and Technology (ICT) drive and e-education initiatives in Indonesia.

During this visit, Barret also met with government officials, teachers, students, and telecommunication providers, to discuss about the technology development for a better learning system for students; more access to technology; easier internet access ; and more relevant local content in order to increase the usage of digital-based systems in Indonesia.
